South African luxury fashion brand MaXhosa Africa will showcase its Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday at the Lycée Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague in Paris.
Titled Izipho Zabadala (Gifts For the Ancestors), the collection honours ancestral wisdom, creativity, and heritage. MaXhosa Africa is the only South African and African-based brand on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule, recognised by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM).
Founder and chief designer Laduma Ngxokolo said the collection reflects 15 years of creative work, connecting past, present, and future. “Every garment speaks across time, weaving past, present and future together – a bridge connecting the living with the ancestral realm,” Ngxokolo said.
Each of the three scheduled fashion presentations will begin with a moment of silence to honour South Africa’s ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, who recently passed away in Paris.
This marks MaXhosa Africa’s fourth season on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule. The brand is expected to present a vibrant collection featuring 3D patterns celebrating culture and community.
MaXhosa has previously dressed high-profile personalities, including Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Lauren Hill, Boity, Maglera Doe Boy, and Zozibini Tunzi.
