Joburg Emergency Services (EMS) is urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads as most parts experience rainy conditions.
EMS has advised drivers to keep a safe following distance in traffic, while residents are warned to avoid crossing low lying bridges and flooded areas.
Joburg EMS Spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said that they will remain on high alert for any incidents.
“As the city of Johannesburg Emergency Services we remain on high alert monitoring all regions of the city together with our aqua rescue units which is a specialised team that responds to water related emergencies.”
