This year’s Miss South Africa pageant marks a new era as it introduces two co-hosts for the grand finale. TV personalities Pamela Mtanga and Nomalanga Shozi will jointly host the event on Saturday at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
Pamela Mtanga, who recently hosted the DStv Delicious Festival alongside global stars Lauryn Hill and Don Toliver, continues to make strides in her career. She is also the face of Brutal Fruit’s flagship event series, The Pink Table. Hosting Miss South Africa, she said, is a dream come true.
“I have been manifesting, dreaming, and praying about this particular moment for years now. Miss SA has been on my vision board and bucket list for events to host,” Pamela said.
She added that she is honoured to represent the future of media personalities on such a prestigious stage. “Working alongside Nomalanga is going to be a fun and fashion-filled experience because she loves a good fashion moment. Her energy is electric, and I’m honoured to share the stage with her,” she added.
Pamela emphasized that her goal for the night is to ensure the Miss South Africa contestants shine brightly and showcase their full potential.
For Nomalanga Shozi, the event is also a defining moment in her career. The actress, who stars as Amandla in BET’s daily drama Black Gold, recently headlined the Joburg Film Festival, joined L’Oréal’s La Maison collective, and was named Glamour’s Most Stylish Entertainer.
“This moment feels full circle,” Nomalanga said. “I’ve always admired the women who stood on that stage, and this time I get to stand with them, anchoring this iconic moment.”
She described Miss South Africa as “more than a crown,” calling it a platform that uplifts purpose, power, and voices shaping the nation’s future.
The Miss South Africa 2025 grand finale will celebrate not only beauty but also the strength and ambition of South African women, with both co-hosts promising a memorable night filled with inspiration, glamour, and entertainment.
