Acclaimed singer-songwriter Langa Mavuso has announced his upcoming album, Therapy (The Other Side), set for release on October 3, 2025. The album is described by Mavuso as a collection of “letters to myself,” exploring themes of identity, healing, and self-forgiveness.
In a statement shared with media partners, Mavuso said the project reflects a more personal and introspective side of him. “Today, I write to you not as an artist chasing moments of perfection on a stage, but as a man—open, tender, and in search of truth,” he said.
Pre-orders for the album opened on September 19. Mavuso described Therapy (The Other Side) as more than just music, calling it a journey of catharsis and self-reflection. “Each track is a page torn from my soul, a confession, a memory, a prayer,” he explained.
The album explores universal and intimate themes, including loss, self-discovery, healing, and spiritual seeking. Mavuso shared, “This album is my form of therapy, a space where I sat with every version of myself—the lost boy, the seeker, the healer, the believer. I wrote to them. I sang to them. I forgave them.”
Mavuso also announced a broader creative vision for the album, linking music with fashion, live performance, and digital storytelling to create an immersive experience. “I am ushering in a fresh, youthful era—one where I am not only seen as a musician but as a mirror to my generation’s emotions, fears, and hopes,” he said.
The singer concluded his announcement with gratitude, expressing excitement to share the next chapter of his artistic journey with his audience. Therapy (The Other Side) promises to be a project centered on introspection, truth-telling, and collective healing.
