Bellingham’s Strike Helps Real Madrid Edge Juventus In Champions League

Real Madrid’s English midfielder Jude Bellingham scored the only goal as the Spanish giants defeated Juventus 1-0 in their UEFA Champions League group stage match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday.

The victory maintained Real Madrid’s perfect start to the competition, with three wins out of three, while Juventus extended their winless run to seven matches across all competitions.

Bellingham netted from close range in the second half after Vinicius Junior’s shot hit the post, giving Madrid a deserved lead following a dominant display. Despite several chances, Carlo Ancelotti’s men were unable to increase their advantage.

“It was a tough game with chances at both ends, but an important win against a big team,” Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois told Movistar after making his 300th appearance for the club.

Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio produced several fine saves to deny Kylian Mbappe and Brahim Diaz, while Courtois also made key interventions, including a late stop from Filip Kostic to secure the win.

The result keeps Real Madrid top of their group, joining Paris Saint-Germain among the few teams to have won all their opening three games in the competition.

Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni praised the team’s performance, saying: “We’ve started this group phase in the best way possible. Juventus defended well, but we were confident we would score.”

Madrid will now turn their attention to Sunday’s El Clasico clash against Barcelona in La Liga.
