Bafana Bafana have secured an international friendly match against Zambia next month as part of coach Hugo Broos’ preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Morocco later this year.
The match is scheduled to take place on November 14 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup-bound Bafana are in Group B at the Afcon, alongside Egypt, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
Their first match in the tournament will be against Angola on December 22.
Bafana will be one of the teams to watch after winning a bronze medal during their last appearance at the Afcon in Ivory Coast, where they beat the Democratic Republic of the Congo 6-5 on penalties at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium.
The South African senior men’s team recently qualified for next year’s FIFA World Cup after defeating Rwanda 3-0 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
